The Centrifugal Pumps Lab package covers the full pump-teaching curriculum around the FM108 hydraulic workbench: a single centrifugal pump characterisation unit (FM571) for building H–Q, P–Q and η–Q curves, a series-and-parallel pump unit (FM572) for combined operation, and a municipal water-distribution network (FM578) for system-level studies. Students work through the classical single-pump characterisation, then extend to combined operation, frequency-converter speed control, similarity parabolas, and the pipe-network characteristic — the same core experiments run at universities worldwide, framed around the dimensionless coefficients of pump similarity. All units are instrumented with pressure, flow and power transducers that stream readings to the Sangari data-acquisition software in real time.
